The face of gaming is changing. In the last few years, the base of young female gamers has expanded immensely. Woman now make up over 52% of online gamers, but Fuel noticed that a void still remained in the amount of quality female-centered game content online. Much of the premium content was either locked behind steep monthly fees or was based around questionable female role models.
Driven by the urge to develop a world that girls could call their own, while taking into account parents' increased concerns about the safety of their kids, we set out to build a new destination for girl gamers to congregate. This strategy came to fruition in AllGirlArcade.com, and its upcoming MMO, dubbed Spark City, is the next step in empowering tween girls to carve their own space in the world of online gaming.

Spark City invites players to step into a futuristic metropolis bustling with activity. From the spa, to the bowling alley, to the Sushi restaurant, girls are encouraged to explore, meet new friends, and participate in any of a wide variety of exciting activities and challenges. Kids are free to shape their own environments in Spark City, customizing their characters and acquiring their own apartments, which they can decorate and make their own. Once all the customization is done, why not invite other players over and host a party? Meeting friends is as easy as participating in the groundbreaking chat system, which balances a rigorous security filter with the ability for girls to express themselves freely.

Spark City is a thriving world that is based around socialization, activities, and an in-game economy. The more girls participate, play games and interact, the more gems they earn. Collected gems allow girls to hit the mall and buy everything from new furniture for their apartments, to gifts for their friends. We know that, while young boys may be more interested in competing on leaderboards, young girls are more interested in socializing, meeting new friends, and keeping up to speed with the other girls. That's why our gaming and chat systems are built to encourage healthy relationships to grow within the community. Girls will also want to keep an eye out for celebrities. Lets not forget, Spark City is where the members of the All Girl Star Squad call home!

Spark City and AllGirlArcade.com are built on top elements of our powerful new social gaming engine, but that's not all they share in common. Spark City is an extension of the All Girl Star Squad universe, which is poised to expand past the web, and into multiple touch points, from television to retail. As Spark City grows, so will opportunities for interactive tie-ins to our other properties. From character cameos to retail initiatives which will drive youth online, the cosmos is the limit for Spark City, and our strategy is focused toward making the experience part of a unique, 360 degree experience for girl gamers.

Spark City has recently launched as a closed beta. A lucky few users have been invited to participate in the virtual world and are currently exploring the Spark City universe and providing valuable feedback to our creative team.
